Children use the illustrations on the gloves to form the WHO guideline hand washing actions. Each hand washing action is accompanied by the song created to go with the visual representations of all the hand washing steps, ensuring children wash for the 20 second time guideline. The use of characterised storytelling props, means that the steps become a part of a playtime a story, enhancing enjoyment and thus learning. The combination of visuals, actions and song will mean that children of all learners (auditory, kinaesthetic, visual) can clearly remember the different actions. Furthermore, the gloves can then be used during play to ensure optimal
hygiene.
